2019 Cinco de Mile

RACE OVERVIEW AND SCHEDULE

The Cinco de Mile is a USA Track & Field (USATF)-sanctioned and certified road mile race with heats for open (ages 13-39) and masters (ages 40+) men and women and children (ages 5-12) of all abilities (yes, that includes you)! Discover the allure of the mile along our scenic course at Hospitality Point at Mission Bay, then stick around for an oceanfront cool down and our awards fiesta. Custom sombreros for each age-group winner and festive tees for all participants! All kids race runners will receive a special award.

8:00 AM - Masters Men’s Mile Run (Ages 40+)

8:30 AM - Masters Women’s Mile Run (Ages 40+)

9:00 AM - Open Men’s Mile Run (Ages 13-39)

9:30 AM - Open Women’s Mile Run (Ages 13-39)

10:00 AM - Kids’ Mile Run (Ages 5-12)

10:15 AM - Awards Presentation at Gazebo

The Cinco de Mile is limited to 250 total participants. For everyone’s safety on the course, races with a large number of participants may be split into two sections, running slow to fast. Adjustments to the schedule will be communicated in the pre-race email to participants.

The Cinco de Mile is presented by Kinetic Events, LLC and is supported and operated by the local USA Track & Field association of San Diego and Imperial Counties (USATF San Diego). USATF San Diego is a volunteer nonprofit organization that oversees all aspects of youth and adult track & field, road running, race walk, and trail running. Proceeds from the event will go to support the USATF San Diego road running series. In 2019, the Cinco de Mile Run will again be the San Diego-Imperial USATF Road Mile Championship. USATF San Diego 2019 members are eligible to receive a discount code for $10 off registration via email or by filling out the contact form at the bottom of this page (include full name and date of birth).
