The 2017 St. Elizabeth Healthcare Honor Run Half Marathon, Honor Run 2 Person Relay, Nature Nate's Honor Run Half Marathon 5K and Honor Run Kids One Mile will be held on Veteran’s Day weekend Sunday November 12th, 2017. The Honor Run Half Marathon and the Honor Run 2 Person Relay begins at 7:00am. The Nature Nate's 5K Honor Run Half Marathon 5K will start at 7:30am and the Honor Run Kids One Mile will start at 10:45am. All events start and finish under the Florence Y’All water tower at Florence Mall! Proceeds from all Honor Run Half Marathon events will benefit Honor Flight Tri-State by helping send our local veterans who have served our nation in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam to Washington DC to visit their memorials and Habitat For Humanity of Cincinnati to help support a local veteran home repair. All race participants will receive a race t-shirt, a custom finisher’s medal, and post race food and drinks. Spend Veteran’s Day weekend with us at Northern Kentucky’s premiere running event and help us honor those who have served by running in the Honor Run! The course for the 2017 St. Elizabeth Healthcare Honor Run Half Marathon is a rolling 13.1 mile course throughout the city of Florence and parts of unincorporated Boone County that starts and finishes under the iconic Florence Y’All water tower. Our scenic course includes the following landmarks:
The Mall Road Business District
The Houston Road Business District
Turfway Park Race Course
We will have water/Gatorade stops every two miles (mile 2, mile 4, mile 6, mile 8, mile 10, and mile 12). We will also have First Aid tents at mile 5, mile 8, mile 11. and the start/finish line. The course will remain open for 3 hours and 20 minutes. Walkers and runners of all abilities are welcome but you must be able to maintain a 15:00/mile pace in all events. Those who fall off the pace will either be picked up and taken back to the start/finish area or they will be asked to move to the sidewalk.
